Accessing Your Purchased Courses

Once you have purchased your courses, to access them, log in to your account at ascp.com (this is for both members and non-members). Once logged in, click on "Go to my member page" (members) or "Go to my account" (non-members). Click on "My CE" from the list of links on the righthand side of the page. This will direct you to your CE page on the ASCP Professional Development CEnter. Then click on "transcript" - this will open a page listing any activities you have completed and will include a button for "Courses (in progress)" - click on this and go to your pending activities list. Scroll down and click on the title of whichever course you wish to begin.

Course Packages

We offer five collections of courses within Geriatric Pharmacy Review. Each provides a discount on the individually purchased price.

Introductory Courses in Geriatric Pharmacotherapy This set includes 20 modules and 3 case studies that provide an overview of geriatric drug therapy for those who need a primer or who are preparing to take the CGP (Certified Geriatric Pharmacist) exam.  The total number of CE hours for this package is 60.25. Each user has 180 days access to the courses from date of purchase.

Advanced Courses in Geriatric Pharmacotherapy This set includes 12 advanced case studies approved for CGP Recertification, totaling 26.5 credit hours.  The set of Supplemental Courses for Recertification described below complements this set to provide the full 75 credit hours of CE needed for recertification. Each user has 180 days access to the courses from date of purchase.

Supplemental Courses for Recertification This set includes 15 modules from the Introductory Courses, all of which are approved for Certified Geriatric Pharmacist recertification.  This set provides 48.5 credit hours and is designed to complement the Advanced Courses package described above. The two sets combined provide the full 75 credit hours of CE needed for recertification. Each user has 180 days access to the courses from date of purchase.

New CE Packages for Recertification

The Professional Development Pathway for Certified Geriatric Pharmacist recertification requires a total of 75 continuing education credit hours over the five-year certification period.  This amounts to 15 credit hours per year. CGPs who are due for recertification in 2016 or later have the option to complete 15 hours of CE each year from the Advanced CE on Geriatric Pharmacy Review. 

Recertification Package #1  Recertification Package #1 contains 15 credit hours of CE from the initial package of 26.5 hours, and must be completed prior to June 30, 2014.  * IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE IS SOME OVERLAP IN MODULES BETWEEN THIS PACKAGE AND THE INTRODUCTORY COURSE PACKAGE. IF YOU ALREADY TOOK A COURSE ONCE, THE SAME COURSE (SAME UAN#) MAY NOT BE COMPLETED FOR CREDIT - PLEASE REVIEW PACKAGE AND YOUR TRANSCRIPT CAREFULLY PRIOR TO PURCHASE. Recertification Package #2 Recertification Package #2 contains 15 credit hours of CE, and must be completed prior to January 15, 2016.  Each user has 180 days access to the courses from date of purchase.

A new package containing 15 credit hours of CE will be posted each subsequent year so that the CGP can complete 75 credit hours of CE in time to renew the CGP credential.
